Here at the Schutzhund-Dogs Group, our goals include educating deviants with an interest in dogs, and protection sport, promoting the ideals of sound and healthy breeding in Schutzhund dogs, and informing all on the importance of a dog being bred for reasons other than money. We feel that through the expression of art, photography, etc., we can make people see the power and awesomeness of dogs and how they contribute to keeping us safe on a daily basis. There are a few rules, though, on what we allow in our gallery/favorites and who we allow to be a member of this group.
Anyone can join, your request will be processed as soon as we recieve it.
You don't have to own a purebred to join.
You don't need to have any prior knowledge of the sport to join, there will be information posted on the page about the sport so you can learn as you go.
Feel free to note me if you have any questions at all about Schutzhund, or the purposes of the club.
Member Participation and Etiquette
All members are expected to be respectful while participating in group activities.
Respectable entails: Minimal swearing, profanities such as racist or sexual content will not be tolerated.
All work that is submitted by you must be your own (this excludes suggesting favorites)
I strongly encourage as much participation as possible, as far as art submission and favorite suggestions. You are also free to note me about any Schutzhund related discussion.
Please be sure that you have looked over all club blogs before you contact me with a question pertaining to contests, membership, accepted breeds, breed standards, etc. You will find links below.
Please submit any gallery art or favorites to the correct folder.
Though it is not required, members are strongly encouraged to "register" original dog characters which can be used in the Conformation Shows and Schutzhund Trials. Registering dogs allows them to be listed in the blog that will contain all standings and points lists as well as the SD registry. These dogs can be "bred" if the owner says so (the owner of the dog you request to breed to will have to draw a litter) for fees that are in the form of drawing requests. This is an optional service, but in order for a dog to have its ref in the club, you must register it through me. Send me a note with a link to the dogs ref (must be drawn, cannot be a photograph.) The ref must contain the following information:
Available for breeding?
If yes, what is the fee? (In requests, e.g., two fully colored requests for one litter. You have to draw the litters if you put your dog up for breeding.
Any additional that you wish to contain
This information can be on the image or in the Artist's Comments
Your ref will not be accepted until I have seen the image.
It is suggested that you view the listed standard for the breed on the Accepted Breeds list
Again, you do not HAVE to register dogs, you may still participate in all contests and other such activities and submit any art to the gallery that is not a character sheet.
